LOVE IS…

1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (NIV) 4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.8 Love never fails.

Do you feel the overwhelming weight of what love is?

THE OPPOSITE OF LOVE IS…

Anything Less than Love is the Enemy

WHY DO WE HATE?

1). Anger

2). Fear

3). Hurt

4). Ignorance

5). Our Sinful Nature

WHY DO WE LOVE?

• BECAUSE GOD IS LOVE, AND WE ARE MADE IN HIS IMAGE

1 John 4:8 (NIV)

Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

• BECAUSE GOD FIRST LOVED US

9 We love, because He first loved us.

• BECAUSE WE ARE COMMANDED TO LOVE GOD AND OTHERS

Matthew 22:37-40 (NLT)

37 Jesus replied, “‘You must love the LORD your God with all your heart, all your soul, and all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 A second is equally important: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 The entire law and all the demands of the prophets are based on these two commandments.”

WHAT IS A LOVE REVOLUTION?

• IT IS SHOWING THE WORLD CHRIST’S LOVE AND COMPASSION, ONE CARING ACT AT A TIME

JESUS HAD COMPASSION

Matthew 9:35-36 (NLT)

35 Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. 36 When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
