Vision 2014 I Part 3
"Spiritual Help in Understanding the Vision
and God's Will for My Life"
Col 1:9-14
I Cor 2:9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen,
nor ear heard, neither have entered into the
heart of man, the things which God hath
prepared for them that love him.
I “Be filled with the knowledge of His will” (v9a)
A. It's not hide and seek but seek and you will
find Gods will and vision for your life
B. Inspiration of the Holy Spirit leads us and
draws unto Gods vision and plans for us
C. Insight comes in many ways to knowing,
seeing and fulfilling Gods vision for our lives
1. The Power of God's word will Point us
towards Gods vision and will for our lives
(Rom 8:29-30, Psalm 119:105)
2. The Prayer and Passion of seeking God's
vision and will for our lives
(I Kings 19:11-13, Prov 8:17)
3. The Preaching and Presentation of God's
word will confirm Gods vision and will for
our lives (Acts 17:11, John 16:13,
Rom 9:1)
4. The Possibility and Permission to dream
and desire more from God for God will
draw us to His vision and will for our lives
(Eph 3:20, Luke 18:27)
5. The Prompting and Pursuit the Holy Spirit
will draw us to Gods vision and will for
our lives (I Sam 3:4-6, Eph 3:16-21)
II “In all spiritual wisdom and spiritual
understanding” (v9b) (I Cor 2:6-16)
A. God has prepared a vision for those who
love Him, choose Him and follow Him (v9)
B. God has a specific plan for those who love
Him, choose Him and follow Him (v10-12)
C. What God has predestined those who love
Him, choose Him, follow Him (v13-16)
III "Walking worthy of the Lord being
pleasing"(v10a)
A. Overcoming the world and getting on mission
for God is a choice beyond salvation
B. Obedience to Gods will and vision for our lives
is His passion for each of His children
IV “Bearing fruit in every good work” (v10b)
A. Fruit is a result of our Attitude about God
and His vision and plan for our lives
B. Fruit is a result from our Aptitude pursuit
of producing for Gods glory
C. Fruit is a byproduct of the Abiding relationship
of being in Christ, which bears fruit, more
fruit and much fruit
V “Increasing in the knowledge of God” (v10c)
A. To know Gods is to know and trust His
attributes
B. To know Gods is to trust and see His
angle not our own
C. To know God is to be in awe of Him
VI “Strengthened with all power” (v11)
A. Strength that is supernatural to accomplish
the vision
B. Self Control that is a result of being spirit
filled and controlled
C. Suffering for the vision and cause of Christ
with all joy
D. Sacrificial for the vision
VII “ Giving thanks to the Father” (v12-14)
A. God included us in His plan(v12a)
B. God has given us an inheritance(v12b)
C. God intervened in our lives and delivered us
from darkness(v13)
D. God has made us in Christ, bought,
redeemed, forgiven us(v14)
