Downpour I Part 1
Introduction
Revival is defined as a renewed interest after a
period of indifference or decline.
I. Vived before revived
A. Clear experience of being born again
B. Change of control and surrender to the
Lordship of Christ.
C. Conviction about things God is against
and things God is for.
II. Revival Is!
A. Awareness of the need to be saved and
drawn closer to God. (Psalm 119:37)
B. Affliction over where ones relationship
is currently with the Lord. (Psalm 119:107)
C. Attitude of repentance, re-focusing,
and remembering where we have fallen
away.
III. Revival Ready!
A. Promises to Keep
1. A Promise about Dissatisfaction
(Matthew 15:8)
a. I promise to be dissatisfied
with anything less than a
genuine personal
experience with God.
2. A Promise about Verification
(Acts 17:11)
a. I promise to set God’s Word
high above human teaching
and to handle it with
the respect it deserves.
3. A Promise about
Compartmentalization
(1 Corinthians 10:26)
a. I promise to give God access to
every area of my life.
4. A Promise about Personalization
(Matthew 7:5)
a. I promise to make this a book
about me and God alone.
5. A Promise about Application
(1 Corinthians 8:1)
a. I promise to put into practice
what I am learning.
6. A Promise to be Committed.
a. I want more of God based on
what He’s promised to be for
me in every area of my
life, and I will work at it with my
whole heart. I promise.
