"Call of the Missionary"
Acts 13:1-13
I. Church that is ministering to the Lord and
mission minded (v1-2a)
A. Adamant about the great commission
B. Always seeking the Spirits leading and
unctioning for new opportunities
C. Available and accessible to the call
II. Calling of missionaries (v2b)
A. We all have been called to serve as
missionaries and mouthpieces
B. We all need to look at what sacrifice God
would have us to make and do in each area
of the great commission for His kingdom
and with our yes on the altar.
C. When we are to selflessly be obedient by
faith to step out in Gods leading and calling
we see Him the most at work in our lives.
III. Candidates were selected by the Holy
Spirit (v2c)
A. Anointed
B. Available
C. Accessible
D. Appointed
IV Commissioning of a missionary (v3)
A. Spiritual significance to the growth of the
Church
B. Spiritual journey that needs to be strategic
and simple
C. Spiritual confidence and confirmation of
the Church
V Call and cause will not come without
conflict (v4-13)
A. Surrender and sacrifice (v4-6)
B. Satan's goal to subdue and stop the
progress of the gospel (v7-10)
C. Spirit has called, commissioned, confirmed
and will see the cause of Christ
succeed (v11)
D. Salvation of the lost by the steadfastness
of disciples (v12)
E. Spirit will lead you to, through, and toward
your next assignment , we are not done
until every lost person is reached and the
gospel has saturated the globe.
