John 21
I Going in the wrong direction and the need
for inspiration (v1-3)
A. Falling backwards into comfort zones rather
than pursue the kingdom life that Jesus has
called us to as men.
B. Failure of most Men spiritually is they do not
have a positive or godly role model in their life
C. Faithful Men usually come because of the
example of a faithful man walking them through
the journey and not alone in the process.
II "Go with you" the power of Influence (v3)
A. Decisions made to who and why we follow
someone is not biblically based.
1. Relational
2. Right or wrong
3. Representative of what we do not who we are
4. Reward
B. Need for direction
C. Necessity of discernment
D. Navigation toward the will of God not
the detours of Man (Prov 14:12)
III Garments of Christ put on (v4-19)
A. Commands of Jesus were followed (v4-6)
B. Came Near (v7-9)
C. Catching of fish and bringing them to
Jesus (v10)
D. Count was important (v11)
E. Communion with Jesus (v12-14)
F. Correction of Sin and restoration (v15-17)
G. Call on our lives and the will of God (v18)
H. Commissioned to follow Jesus (v19)
I. Concerned about what others are doing
(v20-22)
